we took a scenic route from los olivos to santa maria thx to the advice of bill, our warmshowers friend.. the route took us on a road called foxen canyon for about 20 miles, and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.. i've never enjoyed inhalation this much before!!.. here is a list of some of the things that we smelled, saw, and heard after a fresh rain...
eucalyptus, dormant vineyards, bee farm, roses, quail, strawberry fields, red pepper patch, goats, burnt hillsides, fire, pumpkin patch, hawks, fog, many trees i dont know the names of, horses, moss, roses, distant mountains, lush vegetation, gorgeous sky, various muds and soils...
almost everyday so far in the last three months i've said to myself that there is nowhere else on earth i would rather be at this moment (with the exception of gary, indiana).. but today i said it out loud many times.. the pleasure i derived from each breathe was so intense it almost brought tears to my eye...
