Saigon - May-Dec 2015

Reached Saigon in mid-May.  Chi and I got a cheap room in a boarding house for University students, then Chi flew home - leaving me in tears at Saigon Airport.  It was hard.

I kept up my pact to not use internet and remained thoroughly immersed in my books.  Eventually, after about a month, my friend Dogi asked me if I wanted to work at a new language school and I agreed.  I told myself, 'Yeah, why not teach and save some money for a few months.'  But the real reason I got a job was because I was dreading the moment when I left Vietnam - I really love this country and have become quite attached over the years.  I wasn't ready to leave.  Thus, several months after Chi left, I met Y (pronounced like the letter "E") who worked with me.  We began seeing each other in November.
